About Melco

Melco is a family owned and operated packaging distributor and corrugated sheet plant operator serving West and Central Florida. Started in South St. Petersburg in 1966 and under current ownership since 1988, we have steadily grown and expanded our offerings and capabilities. We pride ourselves on providing a better quality product and delivering it with the best people (Your packaging professionals) and service.

Ironically when Art and Jeanne purchased Melco in 1988, the product line did not include boxes. Today we have one of the most capable independent corrugating converting operations in Florida. We have a full time corrugated designer on staff with a CAD table. Take a look at the pictures in the MelCorr section, we really do “make” boxes.

We are also a traditional wholesale packaging distributor with a full line of stock corrugated, packaging tapes, bubble, foam wrap, peanuts, kraft paper, poly bags, shipping and janitorial supplies. We moved from St. Petersburg to Clearwater in 1991 and have since outgrown two buildings and continuing to grow. We have added a satellite location in Apopka to expand our offering into Central and North Florida.

Since our owners came from a manufacturing background they don’t compromise on quality and service. We pride ourselves on being very responsive and easy to do business with. We know what you are up against daily and packaging should not be an issue.
